Massive Blaze Ravages Maidstone Farmhouse in Early Morning Inferno
A fierce fire ripped through a property in Boxley, Maidstone, causing severe damage in the early hours of Sunday. Kent Fire and Rescue Service sprung into action, sending six fire engines, a height vehicle, and 50 firefighters and officers to battle the raging inferno.
Fire Spreads Fast, Property Gutted
The blaze ignited around 4:46am on Yelsted Lane and quickly engulfed the farmhouse. Flames reached the roof, leaving the building gutted and causing thousands of pounds worth of destruction. Despite heroic efforts, firefighters were unable to save the property from the devastating fire.
Residents Warned: Avoid Area and Stay Indoors
Authorities have urged locals to steer clear of the area. Smoke from the fire poses a health risk, prompting officials to advise keeping windows and doors firmly shut. Kent Fire and Rescue Service has asked the public to share this safety warning with those without internet access.

A spokesperson from Kent Fire and Rescue said: “We are currently dealing with a serious house fire in Boxley. Our crews are working hard to bring this situation under control. We ask residents to stay clear of the area and protect their homes from smoke.”
Fire crews remain at the scene extinguishing hotspots and assessing the extent of the damage. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. An investigation will commence once it is safe to do so.
