Selsey Coastguard Team Aids Paddleboarders: Swift Response Ensures Safety

In response to public concern, the Selsey Coastguard Team was mobilised on January 20th at 8.58am to monitor two paddleboarders off the Selsey coast.

Uncertainty over their safety led to the launch of the Selsey Inshore Lifeboat. The lifeboat crew reached the paddleboarders, confirming they were safe and heading towards Bognor.

The teams provided essential safety advice before concluding the operation.

This incident highlights the Coastguard’s readiness to respond to potential emergencies at sea. Public vigilance and the prompt action of the Coastguard and lifeboat services ensured a safe outcome.

Remember, in emergencies along the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard. #999Coastguard #Volunteers #AlwaysOnCall
