Police Hunt Intensifies as Suspect Believed to Have Entered Thames
Detectives hunting wanted man Abdul Ezedi now suspect he plunged into the River Thames at Chelsea Bridge. Over the past 24 hours, officers have painstakingly reviewed CCTV footage, including clips from passing buses, to piece together his movements.
Ezedi’s Final Movements Mapped
Commander Jon Savell revealed: “We’ve been tracking all available evidence closely for a week. Signs now point to Ezedi entering the water.”
Police followed Ezedi’s trail after the brutal attack he carried out, noting he had been walking for four hours along the riverbank through London.
“He was injured himself, likely in great pain, after committing a horrific assault,” Savell added.
Mysterious Behaviour at Chelsea Bridge
Ezedi was seen leaving Tower Hill Tube Station, a four-mile walk from Chelsea Bridge. He appeared purposeful but paused halfway across the bridge, pacing back and forth while looking over the railings—odd behaviour before disappearing from view.
Search Efforts Continue with Experts and Boat Patrols
Authorities are working with specialists and will deploy boat searches at low tide near Chelsea Bridge over the coming days. No body has been found yet.
“We have ongoing enquiries to fully understand what happened that night,” said Commander Savell.
