Man Plunges from Wall at Bognor Beach in Deadly Dawn Fall
Emergency crews raced to Bognor Beach in the early hours of Saturday, March 17, after a chilling call about a man who took a severe tumble from a wall.
Selsey Coastguard on High Alert
At 2:53 AM, the Selsey Coastguard rescue team was scrambled to the scene. They found the injured man writhing in pain, unable to move, and battling the biting cold of the beach.
“The casualty was in extreme pain and suffering from the cold,” a rescue team member said. “We acted fast to ease his pain and keep him warm.”
Race Against Time to Save Life
The Coastguard team tirelessly monitored the victim, stabilising him until paramedics and an ambulance arrived for the crucial handover. The man was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.
The rescue mission wrapped up by 5:35 AM, with all teams safely back at their stations.
