Sussex Police Nab County Lines Drug Dealer in Croydon Sting

Sussex Police have landed another blow against County Lines drug operations, locking up 32-year-old Alvin Satou-Boumpoutou. The suspect was caught during Operation Centurion, which targets illegal drug trafficking across Sussex.

Massive Drug Haul Found in Croydon Raid

On November 21, officers executed a search warrant at Satou-Boumpoutou’s home on St James’s Road, Croydon. The raid uncovered a stash of 84 grams of cocaine, 597 grams of cannabis, £14,395 in cash, and a clever disguise – a taser hidden inside an iPhone shell.

Three Years Behind Bars for County Lines Kingpin

Satou-Boumpoutou was charged with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis, possession of a disguised firearm, and holding criminal property. At Lewes Crown Court on March 8, he was sentenced to three years and three months in prison, marking a significant win in Sussex’s fight against drug crime.

Police Warn of County Lines Dangers

PC Dave Oliver said: “Mobile phone analysis showed Satou-Boumpoutou was stocking up on large quantities of illegal drugs in Croydon and travelling down to Eastbourne to distribute for profit.”

“This crime causes real harm, including exploiting vulnerable people and fuelling violence. We won’t tolerate it in Sussex.”

“We’ll keep working with partners to tackle County Lines drug-dealing and protect our communities.”
