Authorities are preparing a file for the coroner as they probe the circumstances surrounding Abdul’s death.

Commander Jon Savell said, “We have worked diligently to formally identify Ezedi as quickly as possible. As our inquiries into this tragic incident continue, our thoughts remain with Abdul’s family and loved ones.”

He added, “The 31-year-old woman involved is still hospitalised. Although her condition has stabilised, she is currently unable to speak with authorities. We are closely monitoring her recovery and hope to talk to her as soon as she is well enough.”
