Wrong-Way Driver Sentenced for Fatal A13 Crash

Ashley Loveday, 39, from Avondale Road, E16, was sentenced at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 9 March. Loveday had pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving, serious injury by dangerous driving, and aggravated vehicle taking.

Deadly Pursuit on the A13

The tragic crash happened when Loveday drove the wrong way along the A13. Police officers from the Essex 123 Unit were in pursuit, following the vehicle on the correct side of the road. The car was also found to have false plates, triggering an ANPR alert. Loveday was remanded in custody following the collision.
