West End Star Michael Ball Steps Into Big Shoes

Now the baton is officially passed to Michael Ball, famed singer and West End star. Ball currently hosts Sunday mornings from 11am to 1pm but will shift to the prime Love Songs slot from 9am to 11am starting this June.

“I’m excited and a little nervous,” Ball admitted. “Love Songs is about bringing people together—we want listeners to share their stories, requests and memories.”

Adding fresh star power, Top Gear’s Paddy McGuinness is launching his own Sunday show on BBC Radio 2’s 1 2 channel from 11am to 1pm, broadcasting live from Salford. McGuinness, a Radio 2 favourite from previous guest slots, said he’s “thrilled and grateful” to have his own show on the legendary station.
