Police quickly arrived and arrested a 38-year-old man from Aylesford in connection with the incident, which took place in a car park on Westwood Road, Broadstairs. The man has since been bailed pending further investigation.
Air Ambulance Flies Injured Woman to London Hospital
An air ambulance was scrambled to the scene to rush the injured woman to a London hospital for urgent treatment. A police spokesperson said:
“We were called to a report of a collision involving a van and a pedestrian at about midday yesterday. Officers attended the scene in a car park in Westwood Road, Broadstairs, alongside paramedics. The woman sustained serious injuries and was flown to a London hospital.”
