Bracknell Knife Attackers Jailed for Years After Brutal Ambush
Two Men Locked Up Over Violent Stabbing
Two men have been slammed with hefty prison sentences after a savage knife attack in Bracknell. Thames Valley Police cracked the case, leading to the convictions.
Long Sentences for Barclay and Mushidi
Billy-Ray Barclay, 35, from Camberley, got eight and a half years. Nathan Mushidi, 24, currently homeless, received six years. The judge handed down the sentences at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday.
Brutal Ambush Over Money Dispute
The vicious assault happened on October 17 last year. The victim, a man in his 30s, went to Priestwood Square to confront Mushidi over money owed. Instead, he was ambushed by both men. Barclay stabbed him in the back with a knife, slicing an 8cm wound close to the spine. The victim needed surgery but has since recovered.
Police Praise Victim and Call for Community Help
“We take knife crime extremely seriously and applaud the victim’s bravery during this investigation,” said Detective Constable Clare Hickman of Loddon Valley CID. “We urge anyone with information about knife carriers to come forward. Working together, we can keep Bracknell’s streets safe.”
The pair were arrested in April last year—Mushidi the day after the attack, Barclay in May. Their sentencing sends a loud warning: violent knife crime won’t be tolerated in Bracknell.
