Bangor Murder Probe Launched After Elderly Woman Found Dead

Detectives from Northern Ireland’s Major Investigation Team have opened a murder inquiry following the death of an elderly woman in Bangor. The shocking discovery was made in the Hawthorne Court area on Sunday, June 2nd.

Tragic Discovery at Bangor Home

Detective Chief Inspector McGuinness told press: “Police were called shortly after 5:30pm to a residence where the lifeless body of an elderly woman was found in the living room.” Despite emergency efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Man Arrested as Police Hunt for Answers

An 85-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. Authorities say they are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with the case but continue to investigate the exact circumstances surrounding her death.
