Man Charged with Attempted Abduction of Toddler in Dublin

Kent Police was called by South East Coast Ambulance Service, shortly before 2am on Thursday 16 May 2024, to an injured man at an address in Camden Square.

Officers attended the property where the man, who is in his 40s, was treated for injuries consistent with stab wounds and taken to hospital. It was reported that money had been stolen from the victim during a robbery in Boundary Park a short while earlier.  

Following an investigation, five people were arrested.

On Saturday 1 June, detectives charged Kelly Giles, of Hurst Grove, Ramsgate, with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and robbery. Ms Giles, 37, is due to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 1 July.

Karl Webb, 46, of no fixed address, was previously charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, robbery, and possession of a blade in a public place and is due to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 17 June.

A 40-year-old woman from Ramsgate was bailed pending further enquiries.

A 37-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man, also from Ramsgate, were released without charge.
