Katie Price, a self-confessed open book and author of seven biographies, recently revealed her biggest regrets in an interview.
Known for her high-profile relationships and turbulent personal life, Katie didn’t hold back in sharing her thoughts on her past choices, including her Eurovision attempt and some of her romantic relationships.
“Eurovision!” she quipped with a twinkle in her eye, quickly followed by, “and some of my men’s choices.”
Katie’s relationships have long been a staple of tabloid headlines. From her three ill-fated marriages to various flings, and now her new relationship with “Married At First Sight” star JJ Slater, 31, the public has watched Katie’s attempts to find lasting love. Each new romance has left a trail of exes, with Katie offering her unfiltered opinions on them all.
Reflecting on Past Loves
One of Katie’s most famous relationships was with singer Peter Andre, 51. The couple met on “I’m A Celebrity” in 2004, married in 2006, and had two children together, Junior, 19, and Princess, 16. Their fairytale wedding, featuring Katie in a bright pink dress and arriving by horse-drawn carriage, captivated the nation. However, their relationship soured, and they divorced in 2009.
Katie expressed her frustration with how she’s perceived compared to Peter. They know that their dad is never written about in a bad way. They know I’m always written about in a bad way,” she said, referring to her children. Despite feeling that Peter and his inner circle don’t care about her, Katie is determined to rise above it. “I’ve come up with a fresh head, strong mind, hungry for it all and I’m back,” she declared.
Katie’s first public romance was with Premier League footballer Dwight Yorke in 2001, which ended soon after she became pregnant with her eldest son, Harvey. Harvey, now 22, has autism, partial blindness, and Prader-Willi Syndrome. Despite Dwight initially denying paternity, a DNA test proved he was Harvey’s father. Katie revealed that her mother contacts Dwight’s manager every year on Harvey’s birthday to see if he wants to see his son, but the answer has always been no.
After her split from Peter Andre, Katie had a whirlwind romance with cage fighter Alex Reid, marrying him in Las Vegas just eight weeks after meeting. The marriage lasted less than a year. She later got engaged to Argentinian model Leandro Penna, but they split in 2012. Katie then married part-time stripper and plasterer Kieran Hayler, with whom she has two children, Jett, 10, and Bunny, 9. The marriage ended after Katie discovered Kieran’s affairs with her friends.
Katie’s most recent relationships have also been tumultuous. She got engaged to personal trainer Kris Boyson in 2019, only to split later that year. She then found love with Carl Woods in 2020, but their on-and-off relationship ended earlier this year.
Moving Forward
Currently dating JJ Slater, Katie is hopeful about their future but insists she’s in no rush. “Yes, I want more kids,” she admitted. “If I could get it with JJ, if he wants kids, but I’ve learned not to rush things in relationships.”
Katie also reflected on her career regrets, citing her Eurovision attempt as one of them. Despite her challenges, Katie remains optimistic about her future, planning to use her experiences to help others. She is training to become a life coach, mentored by the controversial “Psychopath Life Coach” Lewis Raymond Taylor.
