Brighton Crash Horror: Pedestrian and Dog Hurt as Cars Collide
Sussex Police are hunting witnesses after a nasty smash involving two cars and a pedestrian on Freshfield Road, Brighton. The crash, which also injured a dog, happened just before 6pm on Thursday, May 22, near Patching Lodge.
What Went Down?
- A Vauxhall Corsa, driven by a 62-year-old Brighton woman, collided with a Mercedes.
- The Corsa then careered onto the pavement, hitting a 59-year-old man walking his dogs.
- The pedestrian and one dog suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
- The woman driving the Corsa is now in critical condition in hospital.
- The Mercedes driver escaped injury.
Police Want Your Eyes and Ears
Sussex Police are on the case, eager to piece together what caused this scary collision. They’ve called on anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
“We are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen the events leading up to or during the collision,” said a police spokesperson.
