A fire broke out at a retail and commercial building on Leadenhall Street today, prompting a swift response from the London Fire Brigade.
The fire, which ignited a small amount of insulation behind a ventilation grill, required the attention of four fire engines and around 25 firefighters. Crews from Shadwell, Dockhead, Bethnal Green, and Old Kent Road fire stations attended the scene.

The Brigade was alerted to the incident at 12:12 PM, and firefighters had the blaze under control by 1:41 PM. Fortunately, the fire was contained quickly, preventing significant damage or injuries.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time, and investigations are ongoing to determine what triggered the blaze.
