A woman was stabbed during a robbery by a masked man in the car park of Basildon University Hospital in Essex, early yesterday morning. The attacker, described as wearing a black balaclava, gloves, and dark clothing, including navy jogging bottoms, is still at large.
The incident occurred around 6:40 AM as the victim was getting out of her vehicle. She reportedly sounded her car horn repeatedly during the attack, attracting attention to the scene. The attacker fled on foot after stabbing the woman in the stomach. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and she was taken into the hospital for further treatment.
An Essex Police spokesperson confirmed that no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. This incident will send shockwaves across the hospital, and everyone will be hoping the victim of this attack makes a full recovery,” said Unison Eastern regional organiser Sam Older.
