Serious Assault Rocks TRNSMT Festival at Glasgow Green
Police are hunting two men after a violent attack at the TRNSMT festival on Glasgow Green.
Teen Victim Rushed to Hospital
The assault took place right by the ferris wheel at around 3.10pm on Saturday, 13 July 2024. A 16-year-old boy suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for urgent treatment.
Police Seek Two Suspects Seen Wearing Scotland Flag
- First suspect: Around 6ft tall, slim, aged 19-20, with dark buzz-cut hair and a half-sleeve tattoo on his right arm. He was spotted wearing a black bucket hat and wrapped in a Scotland saltire flag.
- Second suspect: Approximately 6ft 1in, slim, aged 19-20, with dark hair and a light-coloured top.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Sergeant Stephen Greenshields of Shettleston CID said: “This incident has left the victim with serious injuries, and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to identify the males responsible.”
“Numerous people will have witnessed this incident, and we would urge anyone with any information that could assist with our enquiries to come forward.”
