Man Stabbed in Woolwich, No Arrests Made – UKNIP

A man in his 20s was stabbed yesterday evening on Powis Street, Woolwich, prompting an immediate response from Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service (LAS). Despite the swift action, no arrests have been made as of today.

The incident occurred at 6:37 PM on Friday, July 26. Upon arrival, emergency services found the young man suffering from stab wounds. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening.

The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation into the stabbing, but as of now, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and no suspects have been apprehended.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated, “Police were called to Powis Street, SE18, at 18:37 hrs on Friday, 26 July to reports of a stabbing. Officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS). A man in his 20s was found with stab wounds. He has been taken to hospital, his condition has been assessed as non-life-threatening. There have been no arrests. Enquiries are ongoing.”

The police are appealing to the public for any witnesses or anyone with information about the stabbing to come forward to assist with their ongoing investigation.
