A murder investigation is underway following the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Rene Graham in Emslie Horniman Pleasance Park, Ladbroke Grove, on the evening of July 21. Metropolitan Police have established a crime scene at the park and are making a renewed appeal for witnesses, especially those who may have photos or video footage of the incident.

Detective Chief Superintendent Christina Jessah, leading the police efforts in Kensington and Chelsea, expressed deep sympathy for the victim’s family and friends during this challenging time. A week on from the terrible shooting, our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Rene at this devastating time,” she stated.

In an effort to gather more information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, police are urging the public to come forward with any footage that might provide insight into the events leading up to the tragedy. “Any footage may provide officers with a greater sense of the area and events leading up to the terrible incident that has taken place,” Jessah added.

The police are determined to address the broader issue of gun violence in the community. Tragic incidents like this remind us why it is so important that we continue our unrelenting focus on suppressing violence and gun crime, and catching the offenders who endanger our communities,” Jessah emphasized.

Four men, two aged 21 and the others aged 20 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with Rene’s death. They have since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the shooting to contact the Metropolitan Police at 101 with the reference 6343/21JUL.
