A car involved in an alleged theft at Crockenhill Premier in Broadway crashed into another vehicle and a home on Goldsel Road, Swanley, on Monday afternoon, September 16, 2024.
The incident unfolded after a male suspect reportedly took a bottle of alcohol from the Premier store and fled the scene in a vehicle. Eyewitnesses claim that the driver appeared to be intoxicated at the time.

About an hour later, the same vehicle was involved in a collision with another car before crashing into a residential building on Goldsel Road.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) responded to the incident around 3:11 p.m.

Two fire engines attended, along with the KFRS Technical Rescue Team, who were called to ensure the building’s structural stability. The occupants of the vehicles were already out by the time fire crews arrived and were being attended to by South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) paramedics.
KFRS handed the scene over to Kent Police after ensuring the area was safe. Police are now investigating the circumstances of the crash and the alleged theft.
