Man Seriously Injured in Greenock Attempted Murder
Detectives have launched an urgent probe after a 60-year-old man was left seriously injured in an attempted murder at a Greenock pub. The shocking attack happened on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at around 6:30 PM inside a licensed venue on Cathcart Street.
Victim Rushed to Hospital
The victim was quickly taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious head injuries. His condition remains critical as police continue their investigation.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Nicky Beattie, leading the investigation, said: “The family of the man are being supported by police and kept informed of the ongoing investigation.”
She added, “I appeal to anyone who was at the scene or has any information to come forward. Several people were inside the pub when the attack happened, and their help is vital.”
