Passenger Falls Ill on Train at Chislehurst Station, Causing Major Delays

A passenger fell ill on a train at Chislehurst station this morning (September 25), leading to significant delays on several major train lines.

National Rail confirmed via X (formerly Twitter) that all lines were closed around 9:30 a.m. as the train was unable to move until the passenger was assisted off. This resulted in blockages on the lines heading towards London Bridge.

After the passenger was taken off the train, all lines reopened at approximately 10:45 a.m., with disruption continuing until 11 a.m. Services between London Cannon Street and Orpington, as well as London Charing Cross and Sevenoaks, were affected by the delays.

The condition of the passenger remains unknown at this time. British Transport Police and the London Ambulance Service have been contacted for further information.

Train services have since returned to normal following the incident.
