A man has been arrested after being found with a bow and arrow in his car near the Houses of Parliament.

The incident occurred around 6:15 am on September 25 near the Peers car park in Westminster, according to the Metropolitan Police. The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
The man has been bailed pending further inquiries until late December.

The Houses of Parliament, including both the House of Commons and House of Lords, were in recess at the time of the incident for party conferences. The House of Commons last convened on September 12, while the House of Lords last met on September 13.
