Nottinghamshire Police Appeal for Witnesses After Kirkby-in-Ashfield Beauty Salon Robbery

Nottinghamshire Police are seeking witnesses following a brazen robbery at a beauty salon in Kirkby-in-Ashfield on Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred at Ayelashes, located on Victoria Road, at approximately 18:05 BST on October 1, 2024. Two masked individuals entered the premises, demanding cash from those present. At the time of the robbery, a staff member and a customer were inside the salon.

The suspects also seized a handbag belonging to the customer, which contained her mobile phone and AirPods, before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Detective Sergeant Matthew Dumbrell of Nottinghamshire Police stated, “This was a distressing incident for the customer and staff member, and we are determined to identify the people responsible. To this end, I encourage any witnesses to please come forward immediately.

The police are particularly interested in obtaining dashcam footage from drivers who were in the vicinity around the time of the robbery. DS Dumbrell added, “We are particularly keen to hear from any drivers with dashcam footage in the area around the time of the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police by calling 101 and quoting incident 498 of October 1, 2024.

Authorities are actively investigating the robbery and are working to identify and apprehend those responsible for this crime. Members of the public with relevant information are encouraged to come forward to assist in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
