Water Woes in Lewisham: Residents in SE26, covering Sydenham, Perry Vale, Kirkdale, and Lower Sydenham, are facing a water crisis after a burst pipe on Springfield Road left them with no water or low pressure.

Engineers Race to Fix Burst Pipe

Thames Water teams have been on-site working around the clock. A temporary repair restored some flow last night, but tricky utility cables near the burst pipe have slowed progress.

This morning, engineers are replacing the damaged section with a brand-new pipe. Thames Water promises to have full water supply back ASAP, reassuring locals they’re on it.

Apologies and Support for Those Affected

The water giant apologised for the disruption and thanked residents for their patience. They’re urging vulnerable customers to sign up for the Priority Services Register for extra help during outages.

Stay tuned to Thames Water updates online for the latest on the repair work and water restoration times.
