A person has tragically died after an incident at University Railway Station in Birmingham on Saturday, November 16.
British Transport Police confirmed they were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks just before 2:50pm. Emergency services, including officers and paramedics, attended the scene, but sadly, the individual was pronounced dead.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said:
“Officers were called to a report of a casualty on the tracks just before 2.50pm on Saturday (16 November) near University Railway Station in Birmingham.
“Officers and paramedics attended, and sadly a person was pronounced deceased. The incident is not thought to be suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
