In a courageous act of bravery, officers from the South East Territorial Support Group (TSG) of the Metropolitan Police intervened to save a woman from a potential domestic violence tragedy, sustaining injuries in the process. The incident unfolded during an operation targeting high-value watch thefts in Westminster.
Heroic Intervention
While on patrol, the officers encountered a shocking scene: a man was attempting to run over a woman with his car. Without hesitation, the TSG officers stepped in to protect the victim, putting their own safety at risk. In the ensuing chaos, three officers were struck by the suspect’s vehicle as he attempted to flee.
Despite their injuries, the officers managed to apprehend the suspect after a nearby road traffic collision. The man was arrested, charged, and remains in custody. The woman, now safe, is receiving the necessary support.
