Ten individuals have been charged following breaches of Public Order Act conditions during a Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) protest on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
Incident Overview
The protest saw efforts to breach conditions established to minimize the impact on Jewish communities, particularly near synagogues, on Saturdays—the Jewish holy day. Despite prior agreements for a static protest in Whitehall and clear updates from the Metropolitan Police to protesters, a coordinated effort was made to march out of Whitehall, breaching agreed conditions.
Charged Individuals
The following individuals have been charged with public order offences and are scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in the coming days:

- Tessa Roe-Stanton, 20, of Breakspears Road SE4
- Monday Rosenfeld, 21, of Rhodeswell Road E14
- Starr Thomas, 20, of Breakspears Road SE4
- Colin Weedon, 78, of Richborne Terrace SW8
- Christian Adair, 23, of Adelaide Avenue SE4
- Matthew Brennan, 44, of Church Road, St George, Bristol
- David Ok, 40, of Teignmouth Road NW2
- Piers Corbyn, 77, of East Street SE17
- Christopher Nineham, 62, of Daling Way E3
Ongoing Investigations
Three additional men, aged 75, 73, and 61, are voluntarily attending a Central London Police Station today for interviews under caution regarding alleged efforts to coordinate breaches. Furthermore, 24 individuals arrested during the protest have been bailed, while 48 remain in custody.
Police Response
Commander Adam Slonecki, who led the policing operation, stated:
“Yesterday we saw a deliberate effort, including by protest organisers, to breach conditions and attempt to march out of Whitehall. This was a serious escalation in criminality, and officers have worked tirelessly to address these actions.”
Police are continuing to review CCTV footage, social media videos, and body-worn camera recordings to identify further criminal acts and pursue additional arrests.
Officer Safety
No officers sustained serious injuries during the protest. However, three officers were spat at, and one officer was physically assaulted. All are receiving appropriate support.

The Metropolitan Police encourage anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward as investigations remain ongoing.
