Two teens charged after 16-year-old stabbed in Sittingbourne
Violent attack in Murston shocks local community
Kent Police rushed to Murston last Thursday evening after a 16-year-old boy was found with a stab wound. The attack happened just before 9pm on 16 January. Emergency services treated the victim at the scene before rushing him to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries were not life-threatening, and he has since been discharged to recover at home.
Witnesses reported a group of individuals arriving and fleeing the scene in a car during the frenzy.
Two 17-year-olds now facing serious charges
- On Saturday 18 January, police charged two 17-year-old boys with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article.
- The first suspect was remanded in custody following a hearing at Medway Magistrates’ Court and will face Maidstone Crown Court on 14 February.
- The second suspect was granted bail with strict conditions and will also appear at Maidstone Crown Court on the same day.
