Men Approach Kids in Chippenham – Police Launch Probe
Wiltshire Police are on alert after two separate incidents where strangers approached children in Chippenham. Thankfully, no harm came to the youngsters, and the cases appear unrelated.
12-Year-Old Flees Man in Hoodie
On 29 January around 3:10pm, a 12-year-old boy was approached near the junction of Woodlands Road and Downing Street. The suspect is described as a mixed-race man, about 6ft tall, medium build, in his 30s. He wore a black hoodie, dark denim shorts, and a black face mask.
The boy ran off before anything else could happen.
Teen Girl Dodges Man Offering Lift
The very next morning at 8:15am, a 14-year-old girl walking along Union Road was approached by a man in a car. He repeatedly offered her a lift, which she firmly refused. The man is described as middle-aged, mid-30s, with a tanned complexion, thinning black hair, rectangular glasses, black long-sleeved top, and blue jeans.
