Man Left in Critical Condition After Stabbing in Croydon

Police are investigating after a man was found with stab injuries on Lodge Lane in Croydon on Sunday evening.

Officers were called to the scene at approximately 10:50 PM to reports of an injured man lying in the road. Emergency services, including paramedics, quickly attended the scene, where the man, believed to be in his 40s, was discovered suffering from serious stab wounds.

The victim was immediately transported to the hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. Authorities have confirmed that a crime scene has been established in the area while investigations continue.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward. A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police said: “Enquiries are ongoing, and we are doing everything we can to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.

 London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 22.55pm yesterday (2 February) to reports of a stabbing in Lodge Lane, New Addington.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a  fast response car and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance, which consisted of a paramedic and a doctor in a car.

“We treated one patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre.”
