The family of Hanif Redwood , a 32-year-old father of two , has issued a heartfelt plea for information four months after he was fatally shot outside a birthday party in Barking.
Hanif was an innocent bystander who was attacked outside Factory 15 , a venue on Linton Road, in the early hours of Sunday, October 13, 2024 . He was shot at around 4:33 AM and tragically died at the scene.
Despite several arrests , no one has yet been charged with his murder , leaving his grieving family desperate for answers .

A Family’s Emotional Plea for Justice
In a statement, Hanif’s family described him as a “bright spark” who was taken away far too soon.
“Hanif was an innocent, hardworking, and loving father of two. It is heartbreaking to think that he has been taken away from us,” they said.
“As his family, we are imploring anyone with information to make their voices heard and help us get justice for our beloved Hanif.”
“To those who may know, or may have seen or heard what took place on that horrific night – any information you have will be of great value to help the authorities apprehend those responsible for such a dreadful act.”

Detectives Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers , leading the investigation, confirmed that significant progress has been made, but crucial details remain missing .
“Hanif was an innocent man. His death has devastated his family, friends, and the wider local community,” DCI Rogers said.
“We are yet to secure a conviction and get the justice his family deserves.”
“Were you out in Barking that night? Had you been at the birthday party at Factory 15 or another event nearby? Did you see or hear anything unusual?
“No detail is too small. Even the slightest piece of information could be the key to identifying Hanif’s murderer.”
Police Investigation and Arrests
So far, two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder but were released on bail. A further seven individuals have also been arrested and either bailed or released pending further investigation .
Detectives are continuing house-to-house inquiries , reviewing CCTV footage , and urging the public to assist with their search.
