Emergency services responded to an incident in Shinewater Park, Eastbourne, on the evening of 14th February 2025, at approximately 6:00 PM.
The incident prompted a multi-agency response, involving South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS), Sussex Police, and the Coastguard helicopter from Lydd. As a result of the emergency operation, the A22 Golden Jubilee Way was temporarily closed for about an hour, before one lane was reopened to traffic. The Coastguard helicopter later returned to its base in Lydd. It is believed the incident involved a man who sustained a leg injury, though further details are yet to be confirmed. Emergency services have been contacted for additional information.
