Three Fire Crews Battle Firework Blaze at Garage in Kingsclere

Firefighters Race to Blazing Garage in Kingclere

Fire crews from Basingstoke, Kingsclere, and Tadley were scrambled to tackle a garage fire in Greenacre, Kingclere just before 7pm on Sunday, 5th November 2017.

Stray Firework Sparks Flames

The blaze, believed to have been started by a stray firework, broke out in a garage at the rear of a property. Crews had to break in using special equipment, deploying two hose reels and donning breathing apparatus to douse the flames fast.

Quick Response Prevents Spread

Thanks to the swift action, the fire was contained, sparing the neighbouring property from damage. Firefighters stayed on scene, handing out fire safety advice and keeping an eye on the fireworks display to avoid further incidents.
