Fatal Stabbing in Kennington: Young Man Dies
On April 14, 21-year-old Giovanny Rendon Bedoya was found fatally stabbed on Hillingdon Street, Kennington, at around 9.20pm. Despite emergency crews’ best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police arrested five men and a woman in their twenties on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody.
Other Stabbings Spark Alarm Across London Boroughs
- Leyton (April 14): A man in his 50s was stabbed outside Leyton Fire Station on Church Road at 3.30pm. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and no arrests have been made.
- Palmers Green (April 15): A 19-year-old was stabbed inside a restaurant on Green Lanes near Aldermans Hill around 2.50pm. Police are investigating but haven’t made arrests.
- Hackney (April 15): Just before 9.30pm, a man in his 30s was stabbed in Shakespeare Walk during an evening altercation. Injuries were described as serious but not life-changing. No arrests yet.
- Northolt (April 16): A 17-year-old girl was stabbed near Alec Reed Academy on Godfrey Avenue at 8.15pm, suffering a head cut. A man is in custody on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH).
- Kingsbury (April 17): A man in his twenties was found with multiple stab wounds on Kingsbury Road shortly before 1.50pm. He was hospitalised with potentially life-changing injuries. Police are still searching for suspects.
