Four Slain in South East London: Victims Named in Shocking Southwark Killings

The Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) is hunting for answers after four people were brutally murdered in Southwark. The victims have now been officially named as the police launch a fresh appeal for witnesses.

Victims Identified: Family Torn Apart

  • Denton Burke, 58, and his partner Dolet Hill, 64, lived together on Delaford Road, Southwark.
  • Tanysha (aka Rachquel) Ofori-Akuffo, 45, Dolet Hill’s daughter, based in Kennington, SE17.
  • Samantha Drummonds, 27, Tanysha’s daughter, from Forest Hill, Lewisham, SE23.

Specialist officers are supporting the devastated families as the investigation continues.

Detective’s Plea: “Help Us Piece Together This Tragedy”

Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, leading the inquiry, described the scene as “truly horrific.” She said:

“I fully recognise the distress for the family and community will be overwhelming. We’re conducting a thorough investigation and urge anyone with information to come forward. If you know or saw anything that can help piece together these events, please contact police or Crimestoppers anonymously.”

She added they appreciate the community’s patience and promise to uncover every detail, despite the investigation taking time.

Night of Horror: Police Forced Entry to Discover Stabbing Tragedy

The ordeal began at 1.42am on Monday, April 25, when police responded to a disturbance on Delaford Road, SE16. Without an answer at the door, officers forced entry.

Inside, they found four people — three women and one man — who appeared to have been stabbed. Despite emergency efforts, all four were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers also confronted a 28-year-old Lewisham man inside the property. After using a Taser to detain him, he was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in hospital in stable condition under arrest.

Investigation Continues: Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Post-mortem exams were scheduled for April 26 and 27, with formal identification due shortly afterwards.
