Police Hunt Burglar Gang After Spate of Break-Ins and Car Thefts in Plymouth
Home Raids and Car Thefts Rock Plymouth Streets
Devon & Cornwall Police have launched a crack team effort after a slew of burglaries and vehicle thefts hit Plymouth between February 19-20. The latest hit saw crooks break into a home on Elford Crescent in the early hours of Thursday, February 20, stealing car keys before driving off in the victim’s car.
Not far away on Harewood Crescent, would-be burglars tried to force their way into another home that same night but fled empty-handed after waking the homeowner. Meanwhile, officers recovered another stolen vehicle on Waddon Close amid the ongoing probe.
Police Urge Locals to Step Up and Share CCTV or Dashcam Footage
Officers are now begging anyone with info, CCTV, or dashcam videos from Elford Crescent, Harewood Crescent, or Waddon Close at the specified times to come forward.
Police spokesperson said: “We believe the public could hold the key to identifying these criminals. Any footage or information could be crucial to our investigation.”
