Serious Crash Shuts Down Key Road
A man in his 40s remains in critical condition after a serious moped crash on the A2 Shooters Hill Road, Blackheath, in the early hours of Monday, February 24. The smash happened at around 4:15am, prompting an urgent response from London’s Air Ambulance, the London Ambulance Service, and the Metropolitan Police.
Single-Vehicle Crash Under Investigation
The Metropolitan Police confirmed no other vehicles were involved. Officers are now hunting for witnesses and dashcam footage to piece together what happened. A police spokesperson revealed on February 25 that the injured rider is still fighting for his life more than 33 hours after the incident.
