The south side of the A259 Grand Parade in Westbourne, located in front of the Royal Albion Hotel, has been officially handed back to Brighton & Hove City Council’s Highways Team following essential safety works.
The work, carried out by Britannia Hotels and their contractors, aimed to ensure the structural safety of the area after concerns were raised about the site.
As a result of the completed works, the westbound lanes of the A259 Grand Parade are set to reopen on Monday, easing traffic flow along the seafront.
Authorities have advised drivers and pedestrians to remain cautious as the final adjustments are made before reopening. Further updates are expected from the Brighton & Hove City Council Highways Team regarding any additional work in the area.
