Tragic Fatal Crash Shuts Down East Kent Road
Motorcyclist Killed in Horror Smash on A257
Police are hunting witnesses after a deadly collision near Wingham, East Kent. At around 8:30 AM on Tuesday, 4 March 2025, a Yamaha motorbike and a grey Lexus crashed on the A257 at Shatterling, between Wingham and Ash.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, but the rider — a man in his 30s — was sadly pronounced dead at the spot.
Road Closure Causes Major Delays
The A257 was closed for several hours while officers conducted a serious collision investigation. The road finally reopened just after 4:00 PM, leaving commuters frustrated throughout the day.
