Metropolitan Police Detective Charged with Stalking Former Partner

A Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with stalking his former partner, the force has confirmed.

Detective Constable Timothy Fory, who is attached to the Directorate of Professional Standards, is due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 12 March.

The charge relates to a series of alleged stalking incidents that occurred between June and September 2024, during which DC Fory is accused of harassing his ex-girlfriend while off duty.

The officer was arrested on Friday, 20 September 2024, and was immediately suspended from duty following his arrest.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:

“We can confirm that Detective Constable Timothy Fory has been charged with stalking in relation to off-duty conduct. He remains suspended from duty. The matter has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) in line with standard procedure.”

The case has raised concerns, given DC Fory’s position within the Directorate of Professional Standards, a unit responsible for upholding integrity and investigating misconduct within the force.

No further details about the nature of the alleged stalking incidents have been released at this stage.

The Met confirmed that misconduct proceedings may follow the outcome of the criminal investigation.

Further updates will be provided following the court hearing.
