A moped rider was rushed to hospital after a crash with a car on the A274 Sutton Road in Langley this afternoon (Wednesday, March 13).
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene Near Pub
The collision happened around 1.30pm near the junction with Leeds Road, close to The Plough Inn pub just southeast of Maidstone. Kent Police and paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) swiftly responded to the scene.
Injuries Reported, But Not Life-Threatening
The rider suffered leg injuries and was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital for treatment. Although the exact severity is not confirmed, the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The A274 was closed in both directions, causing major disruption. Kent County Council’s Highways department warned motorists to expect lengthy delays while emergency teams cleared the scene.
“Police were called at 1.30pm to a collision in Sutton Road, close to the junction with Leeds Road. The collision involved a car and a moped,” a Kent Police spokesperson confirmed.
