Man Stabbed in Old Street Left Fighting for Life

A man is in critical condition after a stabbing in Old Street, London. Police have arrested four people on suspicion of attempted murder following the violent assault.

Late-Night Horror on Old Street

Emergency services were called to Old Street, EC1, at around 2:20am on Saturday, 15 March, after reports of an assault. Officers and London Ambulance Service arrived quickly and found a man in his 20s with a stab wound to the groin.

The victim was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Swift Police Action: Four Arrested Near Shoreditch Park

Within 50 minutes of the attack, police arrested three men and one woman near Shoreditch Park, just a stone’s throw from the scene. All four suspects remain in custody on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police and Ambulance Speak Out

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.16am to reports of a person injured in Old Street, Hackney. We sent multiple resources including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a fast response car paramedic, and a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance.”

“The first paramedic arrived in less than four minutes. We treated the patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson added:

“This was a swift and decisive response by officers who quickly located and arrested four suspects. The investigation is in its early stages, and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.”

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detectives are urging anyone who was near Old Street during the early hours or witnessed the attack or events leading up to it to come forward.
