Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Folkestone that left a woman with minor injuries.
The incident took place on Clarence Street at around 11:30pm on Monday, 17 March 2025. According to Kent Police, the victim was walking along the street when her bag was stolen by a suspect. The stolen bag contained a debit card, a credit card, and a sum of cash.
The woman sustained minor injuries during the robbery, but did not require hospital treatment.
A 46-year-old man from Folkestone has since been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
Investigating officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said:
“We are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything unusual around Clarence Street at the time of the robbery to contact us. Your information could be vital to our investigation.”
