A massive fire tore through a row of terraced houses in Burke Close, Roehampton, this morning. The blaze sparked a swift and sizeable response from the London Fire Brigade.
40 Firefighters Battle Early Morning Blaze
At around 9:19am, six fire engines and 40 firefighters raced to the scene following reports of flames spreading across the ground floors of three adjoining homes. The fire rapidly engulfed multiple properties, causing significant damage.
Residents Escape Unharmed as Fire Put Out by Noon
Thankfully, four residents managed to evacuate before the fire crews arrived. The London Fire Brigade confirmed there were no injuries. Firefighters from Richmond, Chiswick, Fulham, Battersea, Wandsworth, and nearby stations worked tirelessly to bring the situation under control. The blaze was officially extinguished by 11:57am.
