Blaze Rips Through East London Flats as Six Fire Engines Fight Arbour Square Inferno

A major fire erupted at Arbour House on Arbour Square, E1, this evening. Flames tore through two flats, causing severe damage to the building’s exterior.

Emergency Called at 6pm

Emergency services were called just after 6pm on Friday, 28 March. Reports suggested a well-developed blaze with fears that people might be trapped inside.

Six Fire Engines Battle Intense Flames

The London Fire Brigade swiftly deployed six fire engines and multiple crews to the scene. Firefighters fought fierce flames that blew out windows and melted parts of the building’s structure.

Fire crews initially used hose reels to attack the blaze externally. Their efforts cooled the area and prevented a dangerous backdraft, which could have worsened the fire.

Cause of Fire Under Investigation

The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation. Officials are awaiting further updates from the London Fire Brigade as the situation develops.
