Emergency services were called to Brimsdown Railway Station in Enfield on Sunday following reports that a person had been struck by a train.
The incident occurred at just before 2am at the station located on Green Street.
Rail services were immediately suspended in the area as paramedics, police, and British Transport Police (BTP) rushed to the scene to provide assistance.
Details about the individual’s condition have not yet been confirmed. Emergency responders remain at the scene, and investigations are underway to determine the full circumstances.
The incident has caused disruption on lines through Brimsdown Station, with significant delays and cancellations affecting services between London Liverpool Street and Hertford East.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said:
“We were called to Brimsdown station on Sunday, 13 April, following reports of a person being struck by a train. Officers remain at the scene alongside paramedics. The incident is currently being treated as a serious injury on the railway. Enquiries are ongoing.”
Train operator Greater Anglia has advised passengers to check their journey status before travelling and confirmed that ticket acceptance is in place on local bus routes while the incident is being managed.
