The National Crime Agency (NCA) has released a list of seven men suspected of serious criminal offences who are believed to be hiding in London. They form part of a wider most wanted list of 20 individuals sought in connection with offences ranging from drug trafficking and fraud to rape and murder.
The NCA is urging the public to help track down these fugitives, some of whom have evaded justice for over a decade.
Here are the seven believed to be in the capital:
1. Jack Mayle – Drug Supply and Dark Web Dealing
Jack Mayle, originally from Croydon, is wanted for allegedly running a drugs operation known as Flavour Quest in South London and Surrey. He is accused of dealing MDMA, diazepam, and methylphenidate, and of collaborating with a dark web dealer.
The 30-year-old is described as muscular, around 5ft 11in, and has several distinctive tattoos, including the word Croydon on his left forearm and money never sleeps on his left hand. He is known to frequent gyms, follows a vegan lifestyle, and may be armed.
2. Daniel Dugic – Cocaine Importation Conspiracy
Daniel Dugic is accused of playing a key role in a 2011 cocaine smuggling plot involving 255kg of the drug. The plan allegedly involved transferring the drugs between ships in the English Channel.
While others were convicted, Dugic escaped justice and has remained on the run. Originally from Serbia, it’s believed he could now be living in London.
3 & 4. Ozgur Demir and Osman Aydeniz – Heroin Conspiracy
Turkish nationals Ozgur Demir and Osman Aydeniz are wanted in connection with a conspiracy to supply 17.83kg of diamorphine. Three others have already been convicted in relation to the case.
The NCA has appealed for anyone with information about the pair’s whereabouts to come forward.
5. John Barton – Heroin Smuggling
John Barton was sentenced in absentia to 20 years in prison in 2003 for plotting to import large quantities of heroin into the UK between 1999 and 2000. He never served a day of his sentence.
The NCA believes Barton has ties to London and Fuengirola, Spain. He is described as about 170cm tall, with dyed receding hair.
6. Christakis Philippou – Travel Agency Fraud
Between 2004 and 2006, Christakis Philippou, also known as Christakis Chrysostomou, allegedly masterminded a travel agency scam that duped around 20,000 holidaymakers.
The operation involved setting up or acquiring agencies, offering cut-price holidays, then abruptly shutting down, leaving customers out of pocket. He is thought to be hiding in London and is described as 165cm tall, with grey receding hair and tan skin.
