Northampton Man Faces Shocking Child Sex and Stalking Charges

A 44-year-old man from Northampton has appeared in court accused of a string of disturbing offences, including child sex crimes, stalking police on social media, and attempting to pervert justice.

Simon Tilley’s Court Appearance

Simon Tilley, from Branksome Avenue in Kingsthorpe Hollow, faced Stafford Crown Court today (April 17). He stands charged with nine serious offences:

  • Attempting to make a child aged 13 to 15 view an image of sexual activity on June 4, 2021.
  • Attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child between June 6 and July 1, 2021.
  • Possession of extreme pornographic images involving acts with animals on December 12, 2022.
  • Three counts of stalking with intent to cause serious distress in 2024.
  • Three counts of perverting the course of justice between March and December 2024.

Tilley Denies All Charges

Tilley pleaded not guilty to every charge. He was granted court bail ahead of his trial scheduled for May 18, 2026, at Stafford Crown Court.

Strict Bail Conditions Imposed

Under strict bail terms, Tilley must not contact any police officers involved in the investigation. He is also banned from posting anything online related to the ongoing criminal proceedings.
