Urgent Search Launched for Missing 13-Year-Old Emily Rhodes in Sunderland
Police have issued a desperate appeal after 13-year-old Emily Rhodes vanished from Ashbrooke, Sunderland, on Saturday afternoon.
Last Seen Heading Towards Newcastle
Northumbria Police are growing increasingly worried about Emily’s safety. She was last spotted around 3pm on 26 April 2025 and is believed to have travelled towards Newcastle city centre using public transport.
Spotting Emily: What She Was Wearing
- Age: 13
- Height: 5ft 4in
- Build: Medium
- Hair: Brown with blonde highlights, shoulder-length
- Eyes: Brown
- Clothing: Black t-shirt with leaf design, black leggings, white Crocs
- Bag: Black tote bag with short strap
Emily’s distinctive look and outfit make her easy to identify. Police are urging anyone who spots her to come forward immediately.

“We are becoming increasingly concerned for Emily’s safety and are asking members of the public to assist us in finding her. If you have any information about her whereabouts, or if you believe you may have seen her, please contact police urgently,” said a Northumbria Police spokesperson.
